The powerful Afrobeats performer shared a tale about some of the sacrifices he had to make for his musical career.


David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, is a prominent Nigerian singer who discussed his choice to leave the multimillion-dollar home he shared with his family in order to pursue his musical goals.

The DMW frontline performer and owner, who is presently promoting his newest album “Timeless,” continues to give in-depth accounts of the sacrifices he took to advance in his career.

The 30-year-old singer stressed in an interview with American media personality Big Boy how much he was willing to pursue music, even to the point of alienating his rich father, who was willing to provide him the best life as long as he continued his education.

David claims that in order to be near the music, he was forced to leave his family’s $60 million estate and spend the night in a friend’s hot and stuffy studio.
